Oh September, why are you going by so fast ...i feel like i'm in this creative exciting go go cramfest whirlwind, but secretly i think i love it!

So I can't believe its nearly our first ever feature Nogginware ORDER DATE in our new ONLINE SHOP !! Ekkks its like this Monday (the 26th September) from 7pm  - 12 midnight PST and we only  have enough scrumptious organic Charcoal denim to stitch up 10 of our 'WOODLAND' limited edition Amelia Jones adventure caps, which includes one for our GIVEWAY.  Emails have been coming in, so I hope I have enough of these little beauties to keep all those gorgeous Noggins happy!

Anyways i thought id put together a collection of my fav snapshots from our 'WOODLAND' photoshoot.  Jessica Balfour did an amazing job of capturing Tyrah wearing Amelia Jones.  I had a last minute freak out with the outfit + ended up borrowing this amazing Black Crane dress from a local Okanagan boutique Ad Hoc.  Paired with everyones favourite Hunter Boots .... i'm happy to report that everything turned out better than my daydreams!

AuRevoir my friends, we'll see you on Monday!

Beatrix Bonnet GiveAway

Well its a rare thing when just Bea + I get to hang out, those little twin brothers take up a lot o time + energy especially because they are ever so naughty!  But Muma W's is here (my mum who came all the way from Australia) YAY!  But bless her soul, has not been feeling good - turns out she's got the Shingles!!! Ahhhhhhh came for a 3 week holiday + ended up more than sick.  Well she happily napped with Finn + Otis in the morning, so Bea girl + I could head out to a cute little Cherry farm (as we call it) just around the corner from our abode.  Ol' Don said yep, head on down the hill, right to the last line of  trees + you shall find the last of Cherries for the season + don't mind the Buck that lives down there, just bang on your bucket loudly!  Alright then!  Off we headed with our bucket + eye's peeled for anything with antler's that moved.  He said we could eat as many as we wanted + perhaps we might have tried a few along the way.

So excited about our new Beatrix Bonnet nogginware, partly because all those bold colour schemes that i dream of ...  adults would simply never wear, yet work perfectly for those adorable magazine worthy little people! Win Win!  This little bonnet was totally inspired by ALL THE FRUIT TREES in my neighbourhood + a cherrylicious vintage tablecloth i own, that i decided really needed to be snipped + stitched into something so perfectly gorgeous this season.  And alas our 'Red Cherry Pie' striped Beatrix Bonnet was lovingly made.

There are 4 limited edition 'Cherry Pie' bonnets in our 4 sizes (mini's, 6-12 mth, 1-2 yr + 2-4yr) and we will be GIVING AWAY one of these little cuties!  Just head on over to our Instagram or Facebook and tag 3 of your bestest friends in the whole wide world on one of our 'Red Cherry Pie' bonnet snapshots to enter.  So get tagging!!  You have until tomorrow night (wednesday july 20th 10pm sharp!).  The winner will be announced nice + early thursday morning, before the kiddo's get up + just after coffee, so yes i will have to set my alarm JUST FOR YOU!    ps :: The 3 other sizes will be listed in our etsy shop this Thursday

Mumma's Day sewing project + tutorial

May 2, 2016 jemima whitworth

Oh my, Mother's Day is fast approaching! But never fear we have a couple o options for you!  Read on my friend ...

So the idea for a knitting needle pouch, came to me when my Mumma was visiting me last.  She is  forever knitting little people projects + travelling (as her grandkids are at far ends of the earth!).  I was thinking, how does she contain all those needles + not lose any along the way - Enter fantabulous IDEA!  We'd also been putzing in the studio whilst she was here, folding fabrics + trying to get organized in between kid chaos ...  and thats when she saw it!  My handprinted vintage Obi belt, that has travelled around with me for so many moons, waiting for the oh so perfect project to come along.  I could see instantly that it #sparkedjoy + it was totally her colours, she is quite obsessed with blues, especially those Navy varieties.

So I had to do a lot of sneaky sneaky questions, to figure out how big to make her pouch, as i am not a knitter by any means!  Mumma uses the crazy long ones, 14's, so you could adapt our pattern to suit you, by measuring you longest needle + adding 2" for your pouch length, instead of 16" like ours.

But anyhoo's, back to those options!  You can either download our Bob Jones - knitting needle pouch project + tutorial for FREE for the next 3 Days (until Thursday the 5th May), after that ... our fantabulous little tutorial, that can be used over + over, will be available in our shop for $2.99!

or perhaps Option B works better for you!

Run outta time or not really a sewing addict ... well we have 2 Bob Jones - knitting Needle pouches in our Sparky Jones Shop already made for you + ready to ship!  We have the delicious Green Houndsthooth + the bold Pink Plaid left.

ps :: i'm thinking I might add a snippet of that gorgeous vintage Obi belt fabric to la shop tomorrow - so if you are interested, keep your peepers open!

Au Revoir my friends - now get busy.
